This track actually came out in May, but I’ve only just caught wind of Airling and her quirky, indie-pop gem, The Runner. With sweet, crystalline vocals, Airling aka. Hannah Shepherd engages the listener with a topsy-turvy vocal performance that swiftly jumps about, with a weird but rather welcome deep, electronic vocal that shadows her every move. Away from the interesting vocals, the track has plenty going on, packing in an array of sounds and instruments with plenty of hip melodies that gift the track a real swagger.
