Day 205 The Black Keys – Fever

The Black Keys - FeverHaving started this blog after the release of ‘El Camino’ in 2011, the only time that The Black Keys have actually featured on here was a live version of their boozy sing-along anthem Little Black Submarine at Reading Festival 2012, a performance that I was lucky enough to see live, and won’t be forgetting any-time soon. Fast forward to 2014, and after various rumours of their imminent return, we finally have a song to dote upon in the shape of Fever. Centred upon a groovy blues riff, Fever sounds quite a lot like a rough and ragged Broken Bells single thanks to Danger Mouse’s continuous involvement with duo’s highly popular brand of stylistic American rock. Expect to hear much much more from the duo in the coming months as they prepare to release their eighth studio album ‘Turn Blue’ in May.
