First released back on the 27th March 2012, The Neighbourhood’s single Sweater Weather eventually ended up being my favourite song of 2012. Intrinsically catchy and appealingly hipster, Sweater Weather has lost none of its potency during the last two years, slowly becoming a favourite for music fans worldwide. So the stats… Sweater Weather has over 22 million Youtube hits; it reached Number 1 on the American Billboard Alternative Chart, and is currently sitting on the Radio 1 playlist, gifting it plenty of airtime on UK radio. With all this attention comes 18 year old Austrian house producer Julius Abel’s (presumably no relation to Zak Abel) remix of LA vocalist Kina Grannis’ cover of Sweater Weather. All this sounds very complicated I know, but when you press play, it will all make sense.
