Although it was originally released a couple of weeks ago, I’ve only just got around to listening to Arthur Beatrice’s new album ‘Working Out’. Admittedly, I haven’t actually reached the end of the album yet, but from what I’ve heard so far, the second track on the album, Late is definitely worth a post. Perhaps my favourite thing about Arthur Beatrice as a band is their vocal flexibility, as they swap seamlessly from track to track between Ella Girardot’s unusually appealing soprano and Orlando Leopard’s soft, heart-warming bass. On Late, Ella takes centre stage, soaring amongst a maze of flickering guitars and trickling beats which gift the track a lovely, organic feel.
