Day 78 The National – Humiliation

The National - HumiliationOn Wednesday night, I had the honour of seeing The National perform live for the second time at London’s most prestigious (and also largest) standing live music venue, Alexandra Palace. In-front of a baying crowd of 5000+, the Brooklyn via. Ohio indie-rockers played an immaculate, career spanning, 26 song set that will stay with me for the rest of my life. One of the many highlights was the beautiful Humiliation, a stunning, progressive rock lullaby that’s fiddly intricacies and humbling lyrics make it a real stand-out moment on both their latest album ‘Trouble Will Find Me’ and during their impeccable live set.
