Day 302 Barbarossa – Butterfly Plague

I ended up seeing Barbarossa live in New York supporting Pacific Air last week, and I was particularly impressed with the Londoner’s solo (except for a single guitar line on one song provided by a friend) performance. In control of absolutely everything from synths, drum machine and vocals, Barbarossa’s confidence in himself was refreshing and wore-off nicely on the small audience. In-particular, one song stood out to me, (exempting The Load – Day 287) and that was the mystical Butterfly Plague. The trickling synths and soulful vocals are intoxicating at points, growing in magnitude to a wonderful synth climax. This is well worth the listen.
