Over the past three years, The Vaccines have become a household name in guitar music after the release of their brilliant debut album What Did You Expect From The Vaccines? and the commercially successful Come Of Age last year. With Come Of Age still a relatively fresh memory in the bands timeline, it was a bit of a surprise yesterday when the band released a brand new stand alone single Melody Calling to the world. Renowned for their ruff and ragged guitar music, Melody Calling is a huge curve-ball from the band, experimenting with a light, West coast indie vibe that sounds almost nothing like the band we know at all. Some might say its a flimsy sacrilege to their guitar roots, but in all honesty, this track could have been written by anyone and I would have still loved it. Its light, fluffy feel-good stuff and perfect for a sunny day. Enjoy!
