I might not have been the quickest onto the Flume-craze, but after hearing track upon track from his debut LP, I can’t help but get more infatuated with the Sydney-based producer’s music. First falling in love with the incredible Left Alone ft. Chet Faker, I am now strangely obsessed with the towering, monster of a dance-track that is Holdin On. Generally not the biggest fan of electronic dance, Flume’s ability to create cohesive, groove-ridden dance music really hits the spot. Featuring massive synths and a slick, down-tempo beat, Holdin On‘s best asset is however the incredible Otis Redding sample that descends upon this track with a soulful funk that is irresistible. This track is massive.
