Day 80 Dry the River – No Rest

Not taking the direct format of all my previous posts, today I have uploaded and edited an interview I did with the stunning band, Dry the River earlier this year, so as a sort of teaser to make sure you check out the interview, today’s post is (yes you guessed it) Dry the River’s monumental, anthemic single No Rest. Building from the softest, pastoral beginnings, No Rest shivers into life amongst violins and incredibly delicate vocal harmonies that shine from the track. Always growing, No Rest mid-way through changes up a gear as it blossoms into a monster of a folk/rock epic that under the might of Peter Liddle’s vocals, entertains a roaring chorus that leaves the listener revolving the beautifully tragic lyric ‘I loved you in the best way possible’ round and round in their head.
